Dugarwadi Waterfalls is a beautiful waterfall set in lush grass and surrounded by mountains, making it one of the must-see places to visit in Nashik. It is 177 km from Mumbai and is in the city of Nasik. Deep in the green folds of Sahyadri forests is a secret gem called Dugarwadi waterfall. Walking to the falls takes about two kilometers from the Sapgon parking lot.

It is a great spot to enjoy the beauty of nature, especially during the rainy season. It's hard to say no to the thick forest, the waterfall, and the clean air. Being there makes you forget about all the noise, stress, and tightness of city life. When it rains, be very careful because the water level rises quickly.

Things to Keep in Mind Before Visiting Dugarwadi Waterfalls

•    Risks: The waterfall area is treacherous and lacks safety railings. Rains can cause unexpected water level spikes; therefore, be careful when descending to the base and crossing water streams.

•    Group Visits: Due to insufficient security and sometimes disruptive behavior, visit in groups and during the day for safety.

•    Remember to include water, snacks, suitable shoes, and insect repellant. Carrying your food is better than using limited local stalls.

•    Parking and access: Locals charge a small parking fee, and the government charges per person for access. After parking a few kilometers away, walk to the falls.

•    Trekking: The 2-km trek includes ups and downs through woodland and rocky areas. Proper boots and attention are needed on the slippery path, especially in monsoon.

•    Weather Check: In the monsoon season, sudden intense rains can increase waterfall flow and make walking dangerous. Check weather forecasts before going.

•    Respect Nature: Bring back your trash to save the environment.

•    Recent Restrictions: Authorities sometimes restrict waterfall access to minimize overpopulation and accidents. Check local laws before visiting.

How to reach Dugarwadi waterfall?

People who want to see the Dugarwadi Falls must drive to Sapgon on NH-848. Sapgon is about 4 km away from Trimbakeshwar. It takes 4 km to get from Sapgon to the waterfall parking area.

Once you reach the spot, you must park your car near the road and walk one to two kilometers to get to the waterfall. If you want to visit Dugarwadi, you should go with a group because there is no security and it is lonely.

Best Season to Visit

The best time to see Dugarwadi Waterfall is from June to September when it rains a lot. The waterfall is at its most amazing now, with more water flowing over it, lots of greenery, and a lively natural setting that makes the whole experience better, making it a popular stop in many Nashik tour packages. If you want to go in cooler weather and more green scenery, the winter months (November to February) are also good times to go.
