One of the most well-known wineries in India is Sula Vineyards. It is located in the Nashik area of Maharashtra, also known as the "Wine Capital of India." Rajeev Samant started Sula Vineyards in 1999. It has greatly impacted Nashik's growth as a wine-tourism location. Spread out over 160 acres, Sula Vineyards isn't just a place to make wine but also to learn and have fun.

Guided walks are available, usually ending with a wine tasting. It’s a great way for visitors to learn how wine is made. The farm looks out over beautiful rolling hills and the Gangapur Dam. The peaceful atmosphere is made even better by the beautiful views, making it one of Nashik's top places to visit.

Joining all this are the scenic green areas, which keep the experience serene. Further, the Vineyards organizes one music event a year, termed as "SulaFest," which various tourists visit with enthusiasm. A couple of eateries, a tasting room, and a lodge accommodate the winery, so one can make this place an ultimate destination for one's relaxation time. In case you want it all, integrate it with Nashik tour packages. It delivers a mix of nature, wine, and recreation.

History

People often call Nashik the "wine capital of India," the start of Sula Vineyards is closely linked to the history of wine tourism there. Rajeev Samant started Sula Vineyards in 1999. It was one of the first wineries to see that Nashik could become India's best place to grow wine. The history and growth of Sula Vineyards have significantly impacted the tourist story of the area.

When the winery started giving tourists tours of the vineyard and wine tastings in the early 2000s, Sula's impact on tourism began. The idea was new in India then, and both domestic and international visitors showed interest. The Vineyards was one of the first places in the country to promote ecotourism or wine tourism.
