The Mandir Palace Jaisalmer was built by Maharawal Moolraj Ji a couple of centuries ago. This place is very popular amongst tourists and even the locals. The Indo-Saracenic blend of design, canopies, screen carvings and ornate balconies enhances the beauty of this place even more. The structure also has a noticeable feature, 'Badal Vilas'. The latest addition to this palace is the 'Jawahir Vilas'. Mandir Palace Jaisalmer is very well known for providing modern luxurious comforts and excellent service. Mandir Palace Jaisalmer is one of the most excellent places to visit in Jaisalmer, it is also offered in various JAISALMER TOUR PACKAGE. This place was initially built for the royal families but now it has been opened to commoners as well. The rooms in this place are quite luxurious. There are several suites namely, golden suites and Surya Mahal suite and it also has deluxe rooms as well. The Golden suite is the most luxurious room of them all as it served as a personal residence to Maharawal Moolraj Ji, while the Surya Mahal suite is a rather new addition to the Palace, built by Maharawal Jawahir Singhji which he used for his personal residence.

Maharawal Moolraj Ji started building this place for the purpose of his residence then after him, his descendants kept adding and improving its structure. The latest addition to this place is the Indo-Saracenic Jawahir villa, famous for its exceptional architecture. Being at the heart of the city, most of the tourist spots are around only 2 kilometres in radius.
