Facts about Ganga Singh Museum:

As magnificent as the museum is, it has some interesting facts about it as well. The Ganga Singh Museum displays a variety of extraordinary collectibles used in the wars against the Mughals invasion by the emperors of Rajasthan. There is also a special wing known as the L.P. Tessitori, which was named after the linguist L. P. Tessitori for his immense contribution to the museum via excavations in major archaeological sites.

Maharaja Ganga Singh spread education throughout his reign through the museum; he also built the popular Lalgarh palace, which is a major tourist attraction now. There are two levels in the museum: the lower level is for the house portraits, while the upper level is for the collectibles. The prime attraction of the museum is the gold leaf and the camel hides, and the silk robe from Shehzada Salim to Raja Rai Singh. After the museum was established in 1937, the museum was moved to the civil lines after 17 years.
