Shri Laxminath Temple is one of the oldest temples in Bikaner indeed. The temple is dedicated to God Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi. As beautiful as the idols are, the temple also exhibits exquisite artwork in silver. Festivals like Janmashtami, Ramanavami, Diwali, Geeta Jayanti, and Nirjala Ekadashi are celebrated tremendously well. One must have this temple as one of the PLACES TO VISIT IN BIKANER.

Shri Laxminath temple resides at just a distance of 3 kilometers from the city of Bikaner. The temple was constructed with the help of marble and red stone; the red stones were specially imported from Jaisalmer, particularly for this temple. One of the noteworthy artworks here is the silver artwork on the doorway. The throne of Lord Laxminath is equally if not more graceful. The throne possesses an idol of Goddess Laxmi and Lord Vishnu in a state of embrace. The idol has a height of about one and a half feet, and the plantation occurs on a square-shaped platform. Apart from these idols, the idols of Shri Neelkanth Mahadev, Shri Suryanarayanji, Shri Roopchaturbhuj Ji, and Shri Badrinarayan Ji are also present on the temple grounds. The suggestion for all tourists is to add this location to your BIKANER TOURISM PACKAGE.

Laxminath temple Bikaner history:

This temple belongs to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi. The construction of this temple took place between 1504 and 1526 AD by Maharaja Rao Lunakaran. Later Maharashtra Ganga Singh developed the temple with more elaborate artwork inside the temple and highlighted the beautiful work of architecture. Shri Laxminath Temple is an abode of Lord Vishnu, who was to be the actual leader of the city and the king, considering himself as a mere minister. For more than four and a half centuries now, devotees have been visiting here and offering prayers to the Lord.
