The Aihole is a historical place in Karnataka. It is also famous as Aivalli, Ahivolal. The city was built between the 6th and 12th centuries CE. The place has more than 120 Buddhists. Hindu and Jain temples of stone and caves. The town is popular as the "Cradle of Indian Architecture" and the "Cradle of Indian Temple Architecture."

Chakra Gudi

Chakra Gudi is a temple from the 9th century that is at the southern end of the Durga Temple Complex. The temple is one of the best places to visit in Aihole. The temple Sikhara is in the Nagara style and has a big mandapa with round pillars. It is in dedication to Lord Shiva. The doorway and the sitting stones near the entrance to the temple have a few nice carvings on them. There is a picture of Garuda holding two snakes over the doorway. The temple shikhara is still standing and looks good.

Galaganatha Temple Complex

A group of about 30 churches called the Galaganatha churches can be found on the banks of the Malaprabha River. Galaganatha Temple Complex is a very interesting place to visit during the Aihole tour packages. The complex has a number of medium and small shrines that are all dedicated to Lord Shiva. Some of the shrines have a Shivalinga, but no poojas happen here because they are in the Dravidian and Nagara styles. At the base of each pillar are several beautiful carvings of gods.

Jyotirlinga Temple Complex

The Jyotirlinga group of temples was built between the 8th and 9th centuries CE. The group is of two temples with Kadamba Nagara Shikhara styles, some with flat roofs, some Mantapas with Basavanna styles, and a Kalyani style. There are preserves in both Sabha Mantapa and Shukaansi. A beautiful set of Nandi mandapas is what makes this building stand out. There are many carvings of different gods on the walls of the mandapas. The temple complex is one of the best places to visit in Aihole.

Kunti Temple Complex

There are three temples in the Kunti Temple Complex. It is in the middle of Aihole village and can't be seen from the main road. The Kunti temple complex is one of the best and most interesting places to visit in Aihole. Temples that were built between the 5th and 8th centuries are thought to have roof carvings of Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma. There is one temple that faces east and the other two that face west. A portico links the buildings that face west to each other.

Meguti Jain Temple

The Meguti Jain Temple is on a hillock southeast of the Durga Temple Complex, inside the defensive walls of Aihole Fort. It is past the Buddhist Temple. The Meguti Jain temple is worth visiting during the Aihole tour packages. The top of the hill gives a wide view of the whole village of Aihole and all of its landmarks. The mountain is the site of Aihole Fort, but only the walls are still there today. A Buddhist temple is a few steps below the Meguti temple. 

Ravana Phadi

Aihole is a historic place in North Karnataka along the Malaprabha River valley. It has more than 120 temple buildings that were built in the 4th century AD. The Lad Khan Temple is one of the oldest temples in the area. It was first used as a royal meeting hall and a place to get married. It was where the Muslim chief Lad Khan chose to live. Ranana Phadi is worth visiting during the Aihole tour packages.

Shri Durga Temple Complex

The Durga Temple has been a Hindu temple with a beautiful curve since the early 800s. It is an old place of prayer from the Middle Ages, or the home of goddess Durga, in Aihole, Karnataka, India. At first, the temple was dedicated to Lord Surya. However, the name of the temple suggests that it is now devoted to Durga, the Mother Goddess. The temple has very beautiful architecture, making it worth visiting during the Aihole tour packages. It also has beautiful paintings and carvings.

Sri Ambigera Gudi Complex

The Ambigera Gudi Complex consists of three buildings and is across the street from the Durga Temple Complex. The Sri Ambigera Gudi complex is another one of the best places to visit in Aihole.  The complex has two small shrines and one big temple that is in bad shape. The main temple has a nagara-style shikhara, a mandapa, and a sanctum. It has a structure from the 10th century. The mandapa has two entrances, and there is a lotus flower carving into the roof. 

Sri Gaudaragudi Temple

One of the oldest churches in Aihole, Goudaragudi Temple, was built in the 5th century. It's right next to the Ladkhan Temple. This temple is in the Madapa style. It is on a raised platform that is a few feet below the ground level of the other temples. The temple is in dedication to Mahalakshmi or Bhagavathi and has a porch with a roof that slopes downwards. There is a picture of Garuda and Gajalakshmi with four elephants on top of it at the door to the garbhagriha. The temple is another best place to visit in Aihole as it has beautiful architecture.

Sri Hucchimalli Gudi

In Karnataka, people can find the Aihole structures temple. The Huchimalli Gudi Temple is one of the most beautiful ones and the best place to visit in Aihole. The building style seems to be one of a kind, even though it is small. The building looks a bit like the Durga building. There are shrines to Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma in the Huchimalli Gudi. It is one of the oldest groups of churches in Aihole. It was built in the 7th century AD. 

Sri Suryanarayana Gudi

It is 100 meters south of the Durga temple to the Suryanarayana Gudi temple. The temple is close to the Ladkhan temple. Suryanarayana Gudi was built in the 7th to 8th century. The temple is in Rekha-Nagara style architecture. The temple has the God Surya. It is another beautiful place to visit during the Aihole tour package.
