1. Kundala Dam

Popular known as Asia's very first artificial dam built skilfully in the shape of an arc is the renowned Kundala reservoir. The panoramic view (from the dusty street above the dam) of the huge catchment area built at a height of Seventeen-hundred metres from the sea level is a major attraction here. The representative site is definitely among the best places to visit in Munnar and it is also a top location in all Munnar tour packages.

2. Shikara boats

The one thing that attracts a huge number of tourists to the sparkling waters of the lake is the intricate and vibrant Shikara boats. The Shikaras are a speciality of Kashmir and a subtle reminder of India's paradise is more than you can ask for. A very comfortable, distinct and most of all, affordable means of enjoying the peace of the calm waters around the valley on the most awaited trip to Munnar. 

3. Munnar Neelakurinji Flower

It is well believed that the rare and exotic Neelakurinjis can be seen blooming all around the place on every 12th year of its plantation. This is a distinct feature of the area around the lake for which people from all around the globe come to witness.

4. Golf course

Within the Kundala Village on which the renowned lake has been named lies this lush and equally famous Golf Course for all the golf enthusiasts. It is one among the several lush properties owned and managed by the Tata Tea Co.

5. Aruvikkad Waterfall

As a significant part of the initial Hydraulic project (the 1940s) named after Pallivasal, the SethuParvathi dam is conveniently built on the sparkling waterfall nearby which is an added bonus for the visitors of the Kundala Lake.

6. Picnic spot

With small shops on the road selling local delicacies like the delicious banana chips with a soft breeze and lovely weather with a breathtaking view, the sit becomes a popular one for family picnics.
