Tiger Caves Mahabalipuram is an ancient Rock cut temple. This temple is located in the Kanchipuram district. A large number of tourists come every year to visit this Tiger cave. 

The famous temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is a famous religious and Historical site. 

The temple was constructed during the 7th century AD. You will find a very narrow tunnel on the temple's entrance. This narrow tunnel has Tiger carvings. 

The temple has been named Tiger cave temple because of the beautiful carvings of Tiger heads on the rock formation.
