In the backwaters of the River Krishna, Pathala Ganga is the holy place. The Pathala Ganga is a beautiful place to visit in Srisailam. Religious people can take a holy dip in the river Krishna here. To keep the followers safe from the strong currents of the river, steps and iron chains are set up for them to use.

Views of the large lake, the beautiful mountains, and the lush green Nallamala Forest can be seen from this spot. People often go there to get the best views of the River Krishna in Srisailam. It is behind the Srisailam Dam, and people can see the floodgates from this point. Pathala is also where you can rent boats to go on rides and to the Akkamahadevi Caves.

Activities at the Pathala Ganga

•    To get to Pathala, you can take a ropeway from the Haritha Hotel (Ropeway Centre). By going up the ropeway, you can see the backwaters of Srisailam Dam and the hills around it in a way that no one else can.

•    Pathala Ganga also has boating, and the trips generally last for twenty minutes. It is a nice place to go boating. The boating experience makes it worth visiting during the Srisailam tour package.
