Paladhara Panchadhara is a beautiful natural place to visit in Andhra Pradesh. The place is 4 km far from Srisailam. Tourists can reach the spot by climbing stairs. The view from the spot is lovely. The place is good for relaxing and sitting.

Paladhara Panchadhara is one of the best places to visit in Srisailam. In addition, it has a lot of religious significance because the name of the mainstream, Paladhara Panchadara, comes from the name of the Hindu god Lord Shiva.

What is the history of Phaladhara Panchadhara?

People think that the stream was named after the one that came from Lord Shiva's forehead since "pala" means "forehead" and "dhara" means "stream."

It is a belief that Sri Adi Shankaracharya stayed here to meditate around the year 800. He built the famous Sivanandalahari right here, where he also wrote about Lord Mallikarjuna in the text's lines. He also wrote the Bhramaramba Ashtaka, which is another work in which he praises Goddess Bhramaramba. Also, idols of Sarada Devi and Sri Adi Shankaracharya are at the site, which brings in a lot of followers as well as tourists.

A story says that Bhagavan Adisankara did penance here and wrote the famous Sivanandalahari. It was proven by His Holiness Kanchi Paramacharya, who also put up statues of Sarada Devi and Sankaracharya made of marble.

How many steps are in Paladhara Panchadara?

Paladhara and Panchadhara are beautiful places to visit because they have streams of sparkling water running through them all year. It is in a small valley and has 160 steps to get to it. These streams are across from the Hatakeswaram. So, tourists can combine the two trips.

The best time to visit

It is a popular spot in the Srisailam tour package and is between Srisailam town and Srisailam Dam. This stream's water runs without stopping at any time of the year. You can go to the falls at any time of the year.
