Srisailam Dam is an important attraction of the Srisailam tour package. This Dam is about 13 km from the town of Srisailam. It was built over the Krishna River. History of the Dam

The Dam, constructed in 1960 as a power project, was completed in 1981, causing flooding in 102 villages. It was turned into a multi-use project in 1987 and now makes 770 MW. However, in 2009, it overflowed due to Krishna River overflow, affecting its water supply.
