Ajwa Garden

The Ajwa Garden is a big Garden near the Ajwa dam in Vadodara, Gujarat. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit in Vadodara. It is a perfect place for people to relax, especially during weekends. 

The area of the Garden is 130 acres. The park has so many beautiful plants and trees. The Garden also has a musical fountain show. The main attraction of the Garden is the fountain, which is 100 metres long. The musical fountain show happens only on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and other public holidays. The park also has many Palm trees and many trees with colourful flowers. The Garden also has an extensive playing area for kids.
  
The Ajwa Garden also has water parks and amusement parks near it. On the weekends, the Garden gets a vast crowd. The place is perfect for spending time with family and friends. The best time to explore the park is in the evening because of the beautiful light and sound show of the fountain.

What is the history of Ajwa Garden?

The Garden was built by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaikwad 3 in the 20th century. The Ajwa Sarovar provides water for lakh people in Vadodara. Ajwa is the Reserve year, also famous as Sayaji Sarovar or Ajwa Lake. The inspiration for Ajwa Garden came from the Vrindavan Gardens in Mysore, Karnataka.

The Ajwa Dam is 5 km long with a height of 211 feet. It has 62 Gates and is connected to the Vishwamitri river. In floods, the excess water flows and goes to the Vishwamitri river.

The best time to visit 

The best time to visit the Garden is between November and February in the winter. In winter, the temperature is suitable to explore. During summers, it's boiling and is not a good time to visit the Garden. However, the Ajwa garden is a must visit during the Vadodara tour package.
