A sacred temple called Shri Aksharpurushottam Swaminarayan Mandir is located at Sokhada, on the outskirts of Vadodara. It is among the greatest places to visit in Vadodara and one of the most exquisite temples in the area.

Known by many as Haridham Mandir, this exquisite temple houses marble statues of Lord Swaminarayan and his followers. The Hari Dham Mandir was founded on the principles of religion, spirituality, heavenly power, and the promotion of love. 

The temple is open to all members of the caste religion or any belief system. The temple's main attraction is the work on the Marvel all over the floor. The marble work shows the expensive style and architecture of the building. 

The ceiling of the temple is a beautifully carved wooden structure that forms the framing around the idols within. About the Temple

It is the largest Swaminarayan temple in the world. It was built by Pramukh Swami Maharaj of the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan (BAPS) Sanstha in Vadodara, Gujarat, India, in 1992. The temple is a very famous tourist spot. It is also a popular religious place for many Hindus.  

The building of the temple has two huge assembly halls. The temple is for Lord Swaminarayan. And have idols of other gods as well. It also has an Ayurvedic hospital, school, and libraries as well. 

The architecture of the temple is in the "Nagara style", an ancient style. Tourists can also take part in activities like yoga and meditation. They also have programmes for children.
