Raghunath Ji Temple history
It is said that the king, Raja Jagat Singh, who is said to have built this temple, once sent his troops to torture a Brahmin. That brahmin got a lot of pearls from some unknown sources. The king wanted to get those pearls by torturing him and his family.
Tired of all the torchers, the brahmin put his house on fire and killed himself with his entire family. The king felt the guilt that he did sin. To overcome his sin, he decided to build a temple and also placed the idol of Lord Rama. Raghunath Ji Temple is very famous among all the temples in Kullu.
