In north India, one of the most popular, holy, and historical churches is St John Church. It is a dedication and tribute to respected John the Baptist. Thi church is very famous for it’s splendid Belgian glass (stain glass) window. That was donated by Lady Elgin’s wife of Lord Elgin.

In 1905, a massive earthquake, popular in name as “Kangra earthquake” occurred in North India including Dharamshala and McLeodGanj. Around 19800 local people, numerous buildings and heritage had destroyed including the popular bell tower and so. But the miracle was, St John Church, the magnificent and holy church, survived that day with pride and traditional structure.
The architecture of this church is not only royal but also very aesthetic. Vintage structures, Belgium stained glasses, colors, Christian cemetery turned this building to heaven. Besides that, the renowned “Deodar forest” has added the essence of beauty into this and that is breathtaking.
