A brief history of Ghanta Ghar
The Ghanta Ghar/ Clock Tower was built somewhere between late 19th century and early 20th century by Maharaja Sardar Singh of Jodhpur who belonged from the Rathod-Rajput dynasty. The tower is situated in the midst of the market which is synonymous with the Maharaja’s name. The place was not a market previously during the era when it was constructed, but owing to the amount of attention the tower got, several shops began to be set up.
