The Sardar Government Museum gives a peek into Jodhpur history. It was built in 1909 and is situated inside the Umaid public garden. Sardar Government Museum was built by Henry Vaughan Lanchester in the reign of Maharaja Umed Singhji, son of Sardar Singh on whom the museum is named after. Sardar Government Museum has around 397 stone sculptures, 111,703 coins, 178 arms, 12 terracotta, 10 inscriptions, 1951 miniature paintings, 32 metallic objects and 4107 miscellaneous objects, these are a few things that make this museum so spectacular.
