Legend
As per local belief, the deity’s nose ring was a diamond that was derived from King Cobra, a deadly snake. It was believed that the shine or the radiance emitting from the ring made a ship hit the rocky formations of the shore. The sailor of the ship misinterpreted the radiating nose ring to be the lighthouse, and hit the rocks, thereby crashing his ship.
