The 3-kilometer Camels Back Road runs through the center of Mussoorie. The naturally formed rocks that have a camel's hump surround it. It provides a breathtaking view of the Himalayas and looks across the Doon Valley. It's a well-liked location to see the sun rise and set.

One of the best places to visit in Mussoorie is the camelback, which runs from the library point to Kulri market. This path makes it easy to see gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Camel Back Road, a great place to stroll amid the surrounding natural beauty, gets a little busy in the morning and evening during the summer.

From this route, visitors often prefer to enjoy snacks and breathtaking views of the Doon Valley. A 180-year-old British cemetery observes passersby as they stroll along Camel Back Road. If walking is too strenuous for you, tourists can still choose horseback riding.

History of Camels Back Road

In order to give a walking pathway with an amazing perspective of the Himalayas, Camels Back Road was constructed in 1845. There is an old Hawa ghar on this road where visitors can sit and see the majestic peaks.
Previously, this Hawa ghar was famous as Scandal Point. One is that the girl's horse suddenly leaped into the hills when the British couple was riding their horses. The man noticed this and leaped down as well, killing them both. It was known as Lover's Leap.

Activities to do

  •    Experience the fresh mountain air as you stroll in the early morning.
  •    Take note of the organic formation that resembles the hump of a camel.
  •    Stop by the local businesses and purchase souvenirs of your vacation, such as lovely postcards.

The best time to visit

Try to go here in the springtime when you may jog along a road lined with wildflowers, which will lift your spirits no end. A location that your Mussoorie tour package must include.
