The Saint Paul's Church in Mussoorie is near Char Dukan in Landour, Mussoorie. The St. Paul's Church is an Anglican church built in 1839 and first consecrated on 1st May 1840 by bishop Daniel Wilson of Calcutta. A place worth exploring is the MUSSOORIE TOUR PACKAGE.

History at Saint Paul's Church

Saint Paul's Church is one of the older buildings because it was built in India during the British Empire. The records of the 1857 rebellion are in the historical area of the church because it was the first rebellion against the British. The British saw this as an uprising. The church is a highly picturesque historical landmark on Mussoorie's Upper Mall Road. It brings back memories of a time when landour was very popular.

There might be up to 250 persons seated at once in the church. In the Dehradun district, it was the sole Anglican church. The British soldiers stationed at the Landour convalescent depot were the target audience for the St. Paul's chapel construction.

St. Paul's church's exact location and design capture the essence of that era's idyllic English town. The infrastructure of the church is in an invasive manner. The glass panes and wooden chairs offer a picture of bygone eras. The St. Paul's church in Landour is a must-see in places to visit in Mussoorie. It had renovations a few years ago, improved infrastructure, and is a captivating sight.

The best time to visit

While it is possible to visit St. Paul's Church at any time of year, October through May is the ideal time to do it. These are the most pleasurable and most excellent months to travel here. Here, the winter months bring frigid temperatures. The temperature drops significantly here in the winter because of the snowfall on the nearby hills. Due to the intense rains, it can be challenging to come here during the rainy season.
