The location of Arjun Gufa Manali or Arjuna’s cave is at the left bank of Beas River. It is near Prini Village in Manali. Prini Village is a popular tourist destination and is largely famous for its Natural Beauty. It is among the historical places to visit in Manali.
There is no light in the cave and one has to use the flashlight to find the path. This task becomes adventurous and tourists enjoy the dark cave.

History of Arjun Gufa
Arjun Gufa is linked with the great Indian Epic, ‘MAHABHARATA’. It has got its name from the great warrior ARJUNA, one of the PANDAVA Brothers. There is a belief that at this place, Arjuna meditated and worshipped for Lord Indra and Lord Shiva during his exile from HASTINAPUR.
Happy with his meditation and Prayers, Lord Shiva gave him the PASHUPATASTRA and various other DIVYASTRA. Kunt Bhayo lake and Kunti Temple are located near Arjun Cave.
Best time to visit Arjun Gufa
The best time to visit Arjun Gufa of Manali is in between March and June. This time is quite peaceful to visit as there is no snowfall. Though the cave is open 24 hours it is advisable to visit the cave during the day and enjoy its beauty.
The passage inside the cave is very narrow so it is advised not to carry heavy backpacks.
