The Gayatri Temple of Manali is one of the very famous and popular old temples in Himachal Pradesh. It is located 6 km in the southern part of Manali. It’s a resident of Goddess Gayatri and this is one of the famous temple to visit in Manali.
 
The idol of goddess Gayatri in this place is built up of Marble. The temple has a unique architectural design. It constructed by some amazing woodwork.

This amazing Gayatri Temple is a Shikhara Style pilgrimage. It has a chalet-shaped roof. It features an intimate shrine of Goddess Gayatri. It’s an old, small but very traditional and ancient temple also. 

The location area is in the residential area of Manali. One can spend some memorable time at this peace-giving place. The Gayatri temple at Jagatsukh is a wonderful place for photography.

There are very few Gayatri Temple. People sit and pray here. The Shiva-Parvati pilgrimage situated at the back of the Gayatri temple. This place always provides a positive vibe indeed. Also, there is a big tree that is uniquely tall.

History of the Gayatri Temple 

Shri Chidambara Dixit had built the this pilgrimage with his devotees. There is a that this temple is to be ancient and that it is 5000 years old. Another faith is also that the Pandavas from Mahabharata use to visit this place and offer their prayer to Maa Gayatri.

In 1977, the Idol of Lord Anjaneya had installed in the temple.

After that In 1986, Idols of Lord Ganesha, Siddhi Buddhi, and Lord Shanmukha also installed.

In 1990, the Idols of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, and Navagraha.

Lately, the Idol of Lord Vishnu was also installed in the temple.
