Bhuntar is a small town in Kullu District in Himachal Pradesh. It is a getaway to towns such as Kasol, Manali, Manikar, and Kullu. Also, the Kullu Airport is located at Bhuntar. It is one of the peaceful and relaxing places to visit in Manali.

Places to visit in Bhuntar

Bhuntar is preferable as it has fewer crowds as compared to the other places of Himachal Pradesh. Greeneā€™s scenario has made this place mind-blowing. It has a lot of mesmerizing Temples which have very high religious significance. The famous temples are the Jagannath Temple, Basheshwar Temple, and BijliMahadev Temple.

Basheshwar Mahadev Temple

BasheshwarMahadev Temple, also famous as the Vishweshwara temple. The location is at just 4 km away from Kullu Airport. It is famous for its stone carvings, sculptures, and flat Shikhara style. It is one of the largest temples of Kullu indeed.

Bijli Mahadev Temple

This temple is located on Mathan Hill and is very close to Bhuntar. It is situated at an amazing altitude of 2000m. It built-in Kash Style. The people here believe that whenever a person comes across a flashlight, they can find the Shivlingla break into pieces.

Jagannath Temple

This temple is tribute to Goddess Bhuvaneshwari. The location is on a hill and that is just 3 km away from Bhuntar. It is built at an amazing height of 5000 ft. One has to take a trek to the temple with the admiring view of the hill.

Apart from the temples, there is a Himalayan National Park. The silent town of Bhuntar is a wonderful Camping spot. River Beas flows through this town and for adventure-loving people, the doors to the White Water Rafting are open.
