Prasanna Venkatachalapathy Temple, also known as Gunaseelam Temple, is located in Gunaseelam. The temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Various devotees come to this temple to seek blessings. The temple was built during the Chola dynasty, so you can see great architecture. Not only this but various other reconstruction work was also done during the rule of other dynasties. 

The most interesting fact about the Prasanna Venkatachalapathy Temple is that it is on an island. This Island is present in the middle of the river Kaveri. So, if you want to reach the temple, you have to use a small boat. You can easily get the boat, as the temple authorities operate these boats.

There is a stone idol of Lord Venkateswara inside the temple. There is a story about once upon a time a farmer plowing his field. During that time, he was overwhelmed by the divine energy that was coming from the idol. After that, a small Shine was constructed at that place.

Along with the idol of Lord Venkateswara, you can see the Idol of Lord Rama, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Shiva also. Not only this, but a Dravidian style of architecture is also followed inside the temple. So if you are someone who loves historical paintings and carvings, just visit this temple. A very famous annual festival is also celebrated in the temple known as Brahmotsavam. This festival is celebrated in the month of April to May. The architecture of the Prasanna Venkatachalapathy Temple 

The temple has a Gopuram or Tower, which is present at a height of 100 feet above the ground level. Along with this, there is an outer courtyard inside the temple which has various mandapams and shrines.

You can see that the sculptures and carvings present inside the Prasanna Venkatachalapathy Temple are depicted from Mahabharat, Ramayan and other Hindu stories. If you are visiting this temple, just have a look at the beautiful hall of the temple. Kalyana Mandapam is one of the most famous halls where wedding rituals are performed. In this Mandap, you can see the carvings of Hindu marriages or weddings.
