The Charminar is a popular monument in Hyderabad and signifies the city. Quli Qutub Shah created the statue to denote the start of Hyderabad. The building speaks to why it was named as such: it has four minarets. Although located in the middle of a very busy city with almost constant traffic and crowded streets, this building is interesting to observe. The market that spreads out around it is also well-known. It is called "Laad" or "Chudi" Bazaar.

Why is Charminar Famous?

Charminar is famous for many things, but the best things are the delicious food and the great deals. For buying in Hyderabad, the area around the monument is the best spot. There are always a lot of people on the streets, and the shops are full of colourful and attractive bracelets and other jewelry. The market near Charminar is always busy and is famous for its "Chudi Bazaar." Places to visit in Hyderabad include these vibrant markets and iconic landmarks, which are perfect for shopping and sightseeing.

What is the Architectural Style of Charminar?

Charminar is a 20-meter square structure inspired by Shiya Tazias, featuring four grand arches, a 56-meter-tall minaret, and 149 steps to the upper floor. It is built in granite, mortar, marble, and limestone. It has a mosque where you'll have a bird's eye view of the city and even a prayer area of calmness for those devoted.

Charminar is an Indo-Islamic building featuring arches, domes, minarets, balconies, and stucco floral ornamentations under Persian influence. Beside this stands its ground area as Charminar, which also accommodates the city's celebrated market and boasts today.

You can see this beautiful piece of architecture at any time of the year, but October through March offers the best weather for sightseeing.
