What is the history of Purani Haveli?

Mir Momen, the Prime Minister of Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah, planned to live in the Haveli. Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah ruled Hyderabad in the 1600s. The Nizams bought this vast building, called Purani Haveli, in the 18th century.

In 1777, the second Nizam fixed it for his son Sikandar Jah. But Sikandar Jah moved his home to the Khilwat building in Chowmahalla Palace. After that, the house was known as the Purani Haveli. The Haveli remained out of the spotlight until the 19th century. It gained prominence when Mir Mehboob Ali Khan, the sixth Nizam of Hyderabad, made it his official home and lived there for most of his life.
