Agra is a city where every corner tells stories of empires and embraces the sublime. As Mark Twain once said, "You can't depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus." Radha Swami Samadh is another name for the Soami Bagh.

Now, it is indeed a gem within the timeless beauty of Agra, whispering history with every step, and the Taj Mahal happens to be a tribute to love. It is apt for those souls who seek spiritual comfort.

In the middle of Agra's busy cityscape, one of the top PLACES TO VISIT IN AGRA, this holy place, with its intricate marble carvings and lush gardens, invites you on a trip of peace and reflection.

Soami Bagh History

The second Sat Guru, Huzur Maharaj, thought it was important to build a Samadh to honor the revered founder of the Radhasoami Faith. At the center of the faith, this place would accept people from all over the world. In the 1800s, Soamiji Maharaj spent his whole life seeking spiritual knowledge and exploring his inner divinity.

Soami Ji Maharaj and Huzur Maharaj told everyone that they had to learn about Soamiji Maharaj's spiritual lessons and visit Radhasoami Bagh at least once in their lives. When Soami Ji Maharaj bought Soami Bagh, he meant for it to be the permanent home for the Radhasoami Faith.

Soami Bagh Architecture

The builders used white marble for the entire building, which stands about 110 feet tall. The artisans created detailed carvings and designs on the building that showcase a mix of faith and artistic skill.

There is a calm and peaceful yard around the samadh that makes the whole place feel much calmer. It's great for resting and meditating. It has pillars with beautiful patterns made of stones that are set into the walls. Beginning in February 1904, they have been building it for a hundred years.

There is a Bhajan Ghar right next to the big house. This is the Bhajan Ghar, where Soamiji Maharaj used to sit and do his spiritual work.
