One of Haridwar's most famous temples is Bharat Mata Mandir, popularly referred to as Mother India Temple. By her devoted patriotic citizens, the temple is dedicated to Bharat Mata. The temple is worth visiting place during your Haridwar travel package. Of all the well-known temples and shrines that make Haridwar a hub for those seeking God, Bharat Mata Mandir is the most remarkable. Due to the devotion accorded to India as the Goddess there, this temple stands out from others. The temple's structure is unique, and the building is of eight stories. The temple is located on the banks of the Ganga river.

History of Bharat Mata Mandir

Swami Satyamitranand Giri was the one to find this site for worship. In 1983, the late Prime Minister, Smt. Indira Gandhi dedicated this shrine. Since Bharat Mata's conception predates India's Partition, it means to represent "Aryavarta,". The motherland of Hinduism in Hindu Nationalism does not limit itself to the secular Republic of India. Bharat Mata continues to stand in for the "vision of a unified motherland" of Hindu nationalism. There are Bharat Mata temples at the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi University, which Mahatma Gandhi opened in 1936—another one in Haridwar, which the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) erected in 1983.

Activities at the temple

The temple is exceptional. All the temple floors have different stories for the Gods they have. The primary Goddess in this illustration is Mother India. She is shown holding the country's flag in her left hand and wearing a tri coloured sari to dress the idol. It stands for India's oneness and diversity in unison. This temple honours the nation of India, Bharat Mata, and its values. No distinctions are based on caste, creed, race, language, region, or state. It aims to propagate the sense of national identity instilled by our beloved nation's liberation fighters and martyrs. The Bharat Mata mandir is a places to visit in Haridwar.
