Gau Ghat

Since Haridwar is an accurate representation of Indian culture, it has much to offer tourists. Gau Ghat is another mythological place tourists can find among the places to visit in Haridwar. It is located on the southern portion of the Subhash Ghat, 2 kilometers from Haridwar Junction Railway Station.

One of the holy locations of the Haridwar tour package is Gau Ghat along the Ganges River. The people who come here to atone for the sin of cow-killing gave this Ghat its name. In terms of sin, killing a cow is equivalent to killing a Brahmin. Additionally, people who want to comfort the deceased family members also go to the Ghat. Gau Ghat is the one where the remains of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi were buried. People who want to comfort their departed family members also come to Ghat. The place does not have much of a crowd, and it also hosts various events. 

The ghats in Haridwar are the centre and foundation of the city's spiritual and cultural character; they are more than just actual sites along the river.
