The historic Bilkeshwar Temple is located in Haridwar. In Haridwar, Uttarakhand, there is a temple dedicated to the god Bilkeshwar Mahadev. Another location devoted to Lord Shiva is Bilkeshwar Mahadev Temple. According to the narrative on the board posted outside the temple, Parvati performed penance for Lord Shiva for a very long time under the Bilba tree, hence the temple's name, Bilkeshwar Temple. As a result of Parvati's prayers, God blessed her and consented to take her as his wife. The local people of the city loves the extremely old temple. You must climb a hill to get to the temple since Sureshwari Devi Range of Rajaji National Park surrounds the area.

The sacred Bilba Tree and Shivling Form are visible to devotees. August, also known as the holy month of Sawan, sees a surge of visitors to this shrine. According to the Hindu calendar, this month is often referred to as the month of Lord Shiva. On the day of Shiva and Shakti's marriage, Shivratri, special rituals are also carried out in this location.

In a hilly area, the temple is surrounded by forestland. It's a tiny temple with a stone Shiva linga and Nandi inside. Additionally, there are tiny shrines here dedicated to Lord Hanuman, Lord Ganesh, and Goddess Parvati. It is customary to bathe the Shiva lingam in Ganges River water and gift Lord Shiva Bilva leaves.
