Sri Anandamayi Ma Ashram is one of the sacred places to visit in Haridwar. The stunning and serene ashram is 6 miles from Haridwar in the mythical town of Kankhal. The ashram's building was completed before 1950.

Ma Anandamayi Ashram is a place of dedication and faith in the sacredness of the spiritual world for spiritualists. Travellers from all over the world come to this location to pay respects to this spiritual figure. Ma Anandamayi, using her mystic and yogic abilities, was famous for promoting her values and a belief in peace.

The Rudraksha Tree, Gayatri Yagnashala, Ati Rudra Yagnashala, Annapurnasthal, Shankaracharya Hall, Ma Anandamayi Vidyapeeth, and Ma Anandamayi Museum are all worth a visit. Ati Rudra Yagnashala is significant because the Ati Rudra Maha Yagna, in which many religious saints took part, was held in 1981. An Akhand Diya always has a light on, creating a serene, lovely ambience.

The chanting area is another sight you may see close to the ashram. You can see many holy people here, including pilgrims, reciting Ma Anandamayi's mystic chants and teachings. Additionally, a bookstore is nearby where you may buy various Ma Anandamayi photographs. Additionally, there is a Maha Yagna Centre with 26 different fire pits. It was thought that Ma had planned numerous ceremonies for world peace and other universal good before she passed away.

History

Among the various ashrams, Anandamayi Ashram is another place to stay during the Haridwar tour package. This ashram got its name, honouring the well-known spiritual icon Ma Anandamayi. She often used to visit the ashram and stayed there for months. Ma Anandamayi was from Bengal and was very famous for her Yogic skills. She made people convert to spiritual beliefs while travelling worldwide. The 86-year-old joyful mother, born on April 30, 1896, and passed away on August 27, 1982, had Samadhis created to bury their eternal remains. The construction of the Samadhi is in white marble and has a secure crypt that is sturdy, elegant and simple.
