The Hutheesing Jain Temple is a holy place of prayer for the Jain people, and it draws many people because it is so peaceful and blessed. The city's most beautiful building is a tribute to Dharmanath, the 15th Tirthankar. King Bhanu Raja of Ratnapuri had saved him at Shrikanji, and he was his son.

Jainism is an old faith that has a significant impact on Ahmedabad, and the city's many erasers are proof of that. There are a lot of different types and styles of these erasers. It is a place worth exploring among the places to visit in Ahmedabad.

Gujarat is an important holy site for Jainism and is home to several Jain pilgrimage sites. In the district of Junagadh in Gujarat, the 22nd spiritual leader of the dharma, also known as the Tirthankara, Aristanemi, found refuge. Gujarat has Jain pilgrimage places that date back to the sixth and seventh centuries.

What is the history of Hutheesing Jain Temple?

Initially, the dream of Sheth Hutheesing Kesarisinh, a wealthy Jain businessman, was to build a holy Jain temple. He died at age 49 before he could see his dream come true. While his third wife, Shethani Harkunwar, was busy building the temple, she took over the job.

As a critical member of the temple's growth, Shethani Harkunwar began building the sub-shrines in the basement while Hutheesing was very sick. It took two years to build and got its name after the kind seller.

The famous temple was finished in 1848 AD after a considerable amount of work that cost 8 lakh rupees, which was a lot of money back then. In 1881, Hutheesing's son Muggenbhai Hutheesing and Lockwood de Forest started a new business. They called it the Ahmedabad Wood Carving Company. Lockwood De Forest said the temple would cost more than a million USD.
