The Gujarat Science City is also known as just "Science City" by the residents. It is a daring attempt by the government to encourage a scientific attitude and make science more widely known in Gujarati communities—one of the most popular and exciting attractions among the places to visit in Ahmedabad.

This endeavour has been a priority for a long time because of today's fast-paced environment. It requires a certain level of basic science knowledge and a solid scientific temperament. And with the establishment of Gujarat Science City in May 2009, this priority was quickly fulfilled.

The creation of the Science City was to promote general public education while incorporating a variety of entertainment. It is home to an incredible centre that offers innovative, educational, and up-to-date public exhibits featuring labs, working models, engaging activity areas, and virtual reality with live demonstrations to help people comprehend science and technology.

What is the specialty of Science City?

It offers guests inquiry-based learning in four sections: A Gallery of Emerging Technologies—the dismal journey of life's evolution. Using a 360-degree projection, the Panorama on Human Evolution presents the development of life throughout time on the largest panoramic display in the world at the time. A site must be in the Ahmedabad tour package.

Architecture of the Science City

Science City's architecture is excellent, with distinct portions or modules housing each attraction. The centre boasts many exciting features, including an IMAX 3D theatre, a theatre, and an astonishing Hall of Science. It also has a very educational Life Science Park and a few oddballs musical fountains that dance to music. Additionally, it also has a unique exam centre.

Looking at Science City from above, we can see parking outside the main gate. Although there are other entry points, the main entrance is the most obvious because it has the parking structure stated earlier.

The complex's roads and pavements are joined in polygonal patterns to form a hexagon. Indeed, the beehive served as the model for its design.

Activities

•    An IMAX 3D theatre with ten story screens offers 3D movies with Dolby sound functionality. At the booth, one can reserve tickets and inquire about the times.
•    The Hall of Science showcases successful science models that have significantly impacted humanity's future, encouraging visitors to explore and understand the science behind these models.
•    Advanced computer vision technology offers ultra-realistic simulations, such as roller-coaster and Jurassic Park rides at Science City. These 20-minute rides can be pre-booked and provide fun experiences.
•    Science City's famous tourist attraction is the musical dancing fountain. This programmatically controlled water jet stream mimics human dancing behaviour. It features music, lights, and logic and is open on weekdays for free evening viewing.
