As a tourist spot, the Sabarmati Riverfront has grown in popularity over the last few years. It is one of the best places to go in Ahmedabad. There has always been a river in Sabarmati. However, it only evolved into something more people could use not long ago. It wasn't until recently that it was among the places to visit in Ahmedabad.

The improvement of the Riverfront is a new project, so only some of it is open to the public yet. It was small but still needed to be where people worldwide wanted to go.

About the river

The two-level walkway would have to be the most exciting part of the Riverfront. It gives walkers a path that lasts forever and is a vast 11.4 km long. The lower level of the promenade is open to the public. It is close to the water and was built so that cyclists and walkers can use it easily while still having good access to the water.

It also has many valuable features, such as an elevator, public restrooms, boating facilities, regular seating areas, and 31 Ghats built at regular intervals to ensure that all traditional cultural activities involving the Sabarmati River can go on smoothly. A place worth including in the Ahmedabad tour package.

The upper level of the walkway is still under construction, and other public spaces are for the city level. There are walks over the river, beautiful gardens, fun amusement parks, golf courses, and water sports parks along the Riverfront, just over 10 km long. Even better, if you just want to walk peacefully along the river, it gives you a beautiful view.

Who founded Sabarmati Riverfront?

A particular vehicle is famous as the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd (SRFDCL). The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) put it up in May 1997. The Indian government has established a fund of ? one crore to help extend the Riverfront.

What is the depth of the Sabarmati Riverfront?

There are diaphragm walls made into the riverbed more than 10 meters deep on both sides of the river. Also, retaining walls keep low-lying areas from flooding and the river banks from wearing away.
