The Andaman-Port Blair Islands are a little piece of beauty located about 1,400 km from the east coast of India. They have beaches with turquoise water and a bit of history. The capital of this union territory is Port Blair, which has a major airport and harbor. Ferries run daily, linking the rest of the country and several tourist islands. The 572 islands of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands include only 37 that are inhabited. A few of them are open to tourists. There are many beautiful islands in the Andaman and Nicobar Group. Havelock Island is one of the biggest and best-known.

Anthropological Museum Andaman-Port Blair

The Anthropological Museum is one of the best places to visit in Andaman. The Anthropological Museum is in the middle of Port Blair. It is an ethnic museum that shows how the Jarawas, the Onges, the Sentinelese, the Shompens, and the Nicobarese lived and what their cultures were like. The museum has many artifacts, tools, clothes, boats, leaf baskets, and weapons from different times and places used by the people in this area.

Baratang Island

Cellular Jail

The British built the jail while in charge of India as a colony. It was primarily used to send Indian political prisoners to other countries. People who fought for freedom, like Batukeshwar Dutt, Yogendra Shukla, and Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, lived here. The Cellular Jail is an integral part of India's past and acts as a depressing reminder of all the hardships Indian freedom fighters had to endure while fighting for independence.

Chatham Saw Mill Andaman-Port Blair

Chatham Saw Mill is one of the best places to visit in Andaman. People visited Port Blair to see the Chatham Saw Mill in the 1800s. It is known as the oldest and biggest sawmill on the continent. It's the only sawmill on the island that sells wood for building projects. It's also one of the few that sends wood to factories and furniture shops worldwide. Chidiya Tapu
