Chittorgarh is in the southeast of Rajasthan. It is famous for its Chittorgarh Fort, the largest fort in India. The fort is on a hilltop that covers about 700 acres. Vijay Stambh / Victory Tower

Vijay Stambha, also famous as "Victory Tower," is a part of Chittorgarh's defense. He built it to celebrate his victory over Mahmud Khilji's united forces from Malwa and Gujarat in 1448. His name was Rana Kumbha. The beautiful tower was built between 1458 and 1488. It is so tall and big that people can see it anywhere in the city.
