Annavaram

Annavaram is a small village in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district. It is on the banks of the Pampa River and on top of Ratnagiri Hill. Annavaram is one of the best and most beautiful places to visit in Vizag.

People from all over the world visit the temple village all year long to see the shrine of Sri Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy, a form of the Hindu god Lord Vishnu. Every month, lakhs of followers visit Annavaram Devasthanam, a holy pilgrimage site. Most of them come to do a special prayer to please the god they have come to worship.

History 

Every year, thousands of people come to Annavaram to pray at the shrine of Lord Veera Venkata Satyanarayana Swamy, a form of the Hindu god Lord Vishnu. Religious people come here to perform the special Satyanarayana Vratam practice to make Lord Vishnu happy. Most of the time, the prayer is said before weddings and welcome parties.

The base of the Ratnagiri hills is almost a kilometre away from the temple on top of them. You can walk up the steps on the Ghat Road or follow the stone path. Annavaram is a spiritual place that is easy to get to by train or car. If you want to be at peace, you should go there.

The main god of Annavaram is a variation of the famous Hindu god Vishnu. The Puranas say that Lord Vishnu gave the lord of the mountains, Meruvu, and his wife, Menaka, two sons, who became holy places for Lord Vishnu.

Annavaram is one of the most well-known holy places, right after Tirupati. The temple is in the Dravidian style. This is where Lord Satyadeva lived, with Anantha Lakshmi and Lord Shiva on the other side. Annavaram is worth visiting during the Vizag tour packages.

The best time to visit

The best time to go to Annavaram is from October to February. This tourist spot is great to visit in the winter because of its lovely tropical temperature. When it comes to cheap travel, the summer is the best time to go, and the monsoons are the best time to enjoy the beauty of the Pampa River and spend time in nature. The winter is a great time to explore and paddle in the river.
