Tatipudi Reservoir

The Tatipudi Reservoir is near the town of Srungavarapukota, also famous as S Kota. It is in the Vizianagaram district, between Vizag and Araku Valley. Tatipudi Reservoir is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Vizag.

The Tatipudi Reservoir is a body of water on the River Gosthani in the village of Tatipudi in the Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The city of Visakhapatnam gets its water from this pond. It is one of the lovely places that people from Vizag visit on the weekends. The Gosthani River crosses the lake. The project aims to provide drinking water to Visakhapatnam city and water to 15,378 acres (62 km) of land in Vizianagaram district. The project uses 3.325 TMC of usable water. About 3 TMC of water can be stored in the tank. The job will cost Rs. 1.820 crores. It is in the Vijayanagaram District's Gantyada, S.Kota, and Jami Mandals.

History of Tatipudi Reservoir

The Reservoir came into existence across the River Gosthani in 1963 so that people in Vizag City could get clean water to drink. The mountains around here are beautiful, and they are all very green.
