A Hindu temple called Simhadri or Simhachalam is in the Andhra Pradesh area of Simhachalam near Visakhapatnam City. The temple came into existence in the 11th century. It is dedicated to Sri Varaha Narasimha Swamy, a form of Vishnu. It is on top of the Simhachalam Hills. Simhachalam is one of the best places to visit in Vizag.
The main shrine of the building is in the Kalinga style. This square shrine faces west and has a tall tower on top. In front of it is a porch with a small tower and a Natya mandap with 16 pillars with carvings.
