History of Submarine Museum
There is only one other submarine museum in the world after the Museum. It is the only one in Asia. It is an I-641 class submarine that was built in the Soviet Union and joined the Indian Navy on December 18, 1969. It came out of service on February 28, 2001, after 31 years of great service to the country.
The submarine was taken from the water to Ramakrishna Beach. It is on a concrete base so that it can be used as a museum. It was here so that people could learn how submarines work during battle. And so that people could see what life is like inside a submarine, among other things.
The tourist department of Visakhapatnam takes care of the INS Kurusura Submarine every day. 5.5 Crores were spent on this job altogether. One of the main place’s tourists visit in the city is this. It was open to the public on August 14, 2002.

In all of Asia, this is the only submarine museum. When you go to the Museum, you should not only learn new things. But you should also feel proud of our country and the soldiers who fought and even died for our freedom.
Items, photos, and written scripts from the Museum show how submarines have changed over time. The Museum shows what life is like inside a submarine and how hard it is for submariners to work in the ocean. In the Museum, some guides can help people.
