Pavurallakonda history
Damage took place to a Buddhist temple on top of a hill. The ruins show that people lived there from the 3rd century BCE to the 2nd century CE. The monastery is one of the biggest Buddhist ones in the north shore area of Andhra. Hinayana Buddhism could have grown.
During the digging of the site of Pavurallakonda, people saw two Brahmi label inscriptions, the bases of viharas, circular chaityas, gift stupas, halls, and other things. The drugging team saw stuff like beads, polished pottery, and coins on the spot.
Nearly 14 to 16 rock cuts or cisterns were revealed. They were used to catch freshwater for the Buddhists who lived on the hillock site. In the archaeology branch, excavations and restoration projects are being done.
