Saheliyon-ki-Bari history
As the name itself suggests, the garden was built for the Queen and her forty-eight maids. According to popular belief, Maharana Sangram Singh himself, in the 18th century, designed the park as a present to his newly married Queen. Later Maharana Bhopal Singh imported rain fountains from England and established them in the garden.
Saheliyon-ki-Bari Architecture
Albeit, being a pleasure garden, like other Mewari edifices, is also an example of the architects' magisterial craftsmanship. The main pool comprises of four black marble kiosks. A white marble kiosk is at the centre of it. The skillfully sculpted pigeons at the top of them are a spectacular sight to behold. The bird-fountains in the water pools and marble elephants ornate the garden further enhance the garden's scenic beauty.

Additionally, there is also a museum exhibiting the opulent royal household items. The walls are decked with the portraits of the Maharanas and their wives. The stuffed cobras and other animals point to the hunting days of Ranas. Above all, one can saunter on the lush lawns in the afternoon.
