One of Dehradun's many places to visit is the Subir Raha Oil Museum Dehradun. The largest oil business in India, ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation), built a small museum. The museum gives regular people a one-of-a-kind chance to learn about different parts of oil. What it is, how it is dug up, how important it is, the change in oil ratio, and much more.

The museum has many things that help people learn about the history and different parts of the oil business. There are different parts to it, and the first part talks about the geology of the business. This area has a Foucault pendulum, several helpful charts, and samples of various kinds of crude oil.

History of Subir Raha Oil Museum

The Subir Raha Oil Museum is a small gallery inside Tel Bhawan, which is the headquarters of ONGC in Dehradun. It opened on August 14, 2005, as the Subir Raha Oil Museum. In India, ONGC is the most critical company for research and production.

In 1956, the gallery opened in Tel Bhawan, also famous as Patiala House. ONGC got it from where it belonged to the Maharaja of Patiala. The historical centre shows the different stages of the oil and gas value chain.

About the museum

Inside the historical centre, there are several different rooms and two stories. First, the area talks about the past of oil. There were tests on different kinds of unprocessed oil in this part, as well as descriptions of how they behave at different temperatures.

You will learn how to find and make oil in the second part. The third part discusses this business's shipping methods and refinery improvements. There is also an audiovisual room in the display hall that shows the journey of ONGC.
