Kudroli temple is near to Mangalore railway station, nearly 2.5 kilometers. It is dedicated to the Gokarnanatheswara, which is a form of the Lord Shiva. The Narayana Guru started the process to build the temple. He is a social reformer from Kerala in South India. The temple has a lovely renovation which is made using the Dravidian style, makes it more vibrant.
Kudroli temple was built in the year 1912 by H. Koragappa, a devotee. This was under the supervision of the Narayana Guru. In the year 1991, the Chola Gopuram style was incorporated in the Gopuram temple built in that period. Narayana Guru carved out the Shiva Linga (found from under water) in marble stone.
There are other many deities worshipped here Lord Bhairava, Lord Ganesha and Goddess Annapoorneshwari. The largest procession during Navaratri is observed here. It is a kind of annual festival here which is witnessed by many devotees.
Kudroli temple apart from its golden attractive structure has two other large halls and a glass house, along with the pond and garden.
