Polali Rajarajeshwari Temple history

Location of this temple is in Polali. It's situated on the banks of a river which is named Phalguni. ( in Kariyangala , a renowned village of Bantwal taluk) . It is one of the best and beautiful places to visit in Mangalore. There are paddy fields surrounding the temple.

Besides that an inscription discovered the following. That the temple around the clay idol of 8th century AD.
It is believed that King Suratha built this temple. He offered his crown with precious jewels to place it on the head of the deity indeed. It believes that the clay idol of the main deity to be up to 5000 years old.

Due to the illustrious history of the place, it has become one of the main attractions of Mangalore.

The temple is open in 2 shifts every day. Besides that, the morning time is 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and the afternoon shift is 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Polali Rajarajeshwari Temple pooja and Lunch timings

Temple conducts the daily poojas include the morning pooja at 8.30 AM. At the noon Mahapooja is conducted at 12.30 PM. Besides that the night pooja, conducted at 8.30 pm. Gayatri Pooja takes place every (Tues, Thurs, Sunday. 8-30P.M.). They served the everyday meal to devotees is at noon 12.
