The name ‘Someshwara beach’ came because the holy temple of great lord “Somnatha” has been standing since multiple centuries on the chest of the sea. The location is nowhere but in the city of Mangalore.  And located 13 kilometres from Mangalore by road in distance. It is one of the very charming places to visit in Mangalore.

Beautifully a number of large stones are connected with each other on the blue and deep surface of sea which is very eye-catching and gorgeous.  And people call those rocks as “The Rudra Shila”. That means “The Rock of Great Lord Shiva”. Visitors enjoy them by swimming on those cages of water. The smooth golden sands are perfect for sunbath without any doubt.
