Malshej Ghat

Malshej Ghat is a mountain pass and a celebrated hill station in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra. It is one of the finest places to visit in Mumbai. The area is mostly hilly, with some trees lining the road, and then it opens into the beautiful Malshej Ghat.

Best Time to Visit

When the monsoons come through (June to September), the waterfalls are at their most beautiful.

Rainy Season: When it rains, it turns into a green paradise with waterfalls.

Many trails offer stunning views of the hills and valleys, making trekking the most popular exercise. Popular hikes to Harishchandragad Fort take 4-5 hours. A wildlife and bird watcher's haven, with flamingos, breeding grey cranes, jacanas, and cuckoos. At least a couple of falls have enough drop for abseiling.
