History of Thiruvaiyaru

Thiruvaiyaru is a famous town that is the birthplace of various great artists, philosophers, and saints. This famous place has been ruled by various dynasties like the Cholas, Pandyas, Nayak, and Vijayanagara. 

During all these dynasties, this city has seen various kinds of development. Sarfoji 2 was a great ruler of the Marathas dynasty.
