The Chapslee palace is now under the wife of Raja Chiranjit Singh’s grandson, Pronoti. And this is how, the legacy carried on from generations. When the state of Himachal Pradesh came into existence in 1971, the government decided to take over the house. But Kanwar Ranjit Singh, who was famous as ‘Reggie’ and his wife, Pronoti fought till they won the battle.

In April 1976, finally, Reggie and Pronoti opened the door to the visitors. So that they can experience the saga of “The Chapslee Palace”. It is obvious that staying at the Chapslee is like traveling back in time where you would experience the comfort of the precious time-worn objects passed on to from generation to generation.
