The primary motive to establish the Jawan Jyoti was to pay tribute to all the soldiers who lost their lives while protecting the nation. This place of tribute had unveiled by the then Prime minister of India, Indira Gandhi in 1972. The Jyoti made up of black marble with a standing rifle and it is mainly a source of attraction because of the four torches at the four corners that never stop burning.
